A message from the sermon "2018." Salvation is the work of grace and mercy, not justice. Justice requires punishment; mercy provides a righteous way of averting the deserved punishment. This is why nobody can glory or boast in his or her salvation, as it is not through our own righteousness and good works that we are saved – this is purely the work of the Holy Spirit.
